A home-based, family-level, direct education intervention designed to increase fruit and vegetable consumption, decrease added sugar intake, increase physical activity, decrease sedentary/screen time, promote healthy sleep, and promote emotional regulation, providing low-income, SNAP-eligible American Indian (AI) families with skills and tools needed to make healthy lifestyle choices.The program addresses the need for family based culturally appropriate materials and combines Indigenous knowledge with US diet and physical activity guidelines.

Preschool:

Physical activity intervention program for pre-K. Designed to provide children ages 3-5 with high activity, enjoyable movement opportunities that foster social and motor development and enhance school readiness skills. Curriculum available for purchase.

Elementary School:

Physical activity intervention programs for elementary school grades. Curriculum available for purchase - $249 for 3 year use.

Middle School:

The Small Bites Program is a direct education intervention designed to increase nutrition knowledge, vegetable consumption, and variety of vegetables consumed. The curriculum teaches students about nutrition and healthy cooking through a series of eight 1-hour lessons combining nutrition and knife-free cooking. In every lesson, students prepare a healthy snack, using recipes that meet USDA Guidelines, and provide opportunities to learn about and reinforce nutrition concepts and cooking skills.

Garden-themed curriculum for preschools and daycare settings. Introduces children to fruits and vegetables. Hands-on activities, nutrition education and planting, stories and songs, at-home materials. 6 sets of activities; most activities take 10-15 minutes each.

Five approved CA core nutrition education lessons maybe used as a single or series based lessons with or without WISERCISE! a 10 minute supplemental desk-side curriculum and includes daily PAs in the classroom. OrganWise Guy or Gal maybe used to illustrate why healthy behaviors are important to our organs, bodies and overall health.

Additional intervention materials maybe added at an additional cost.

This literacy-based health, nutrition, and physical activity curriculum employs a "learn by doing" approach with preschoolers. Lessons center around storybook reading and contain several activities that can be worked on as a group or individually allowing preschoolers to practice what they learned. Lesson activities align with the DRDPs.

Edible ABC's teaches students about the
alphabet while tasting healthy foods. The 5 lessons cover learning new healthy foods and letters of the alphabet, how each food helps the body, taste tasting, and physical activity with corresponding reinforcement activities. Curriculum materials help assist with lesson delivery and connect to families at home.
Curriculum is intended to be delivered as part of a multilevel approach.

A curriculum that helps children establish healthy eating and physical activity habits. Children learn about MyPlate, Go, Glow, and Grow foods, physical activity, and how to wash hands. Can be used in preschool or day care settings.
